Probably the premiere restaurant in The Beaches Neighbourhood! Right from entering, the atmosphere and charm greet you, and the staff are warm and inviting. (Donna was fabulous!) The decor is intriguing and not overpowering, and in some way romantic and whimsical. We really enjoyed glancing around the restaurant and noticing some local details. The menu offers excellent choices, and the kitchen was terrific with our food restrictions! Thank-you for being so considerate! We're definitely coming back!
We had a fantastic first visit at this lovely, quaint neighbourhood spot and will definitely be back for more!! The atmosphere is charged with very positive energy - everyone there is happy to be there from staff to customers. The restaurant is full of interesting artwork with a funky, eclectic vibe. (Check out all the light fixtures!!) The menu is creative and appealing and the food was a solid 10. Will definitely return and I HIGHLY recommend!!!
Great experience overall. We went this week with my fiancee and friends and we had and excellent experience. The restaurant was packed, which gives off a good first impression. The menu was not too small and not too big, a good variety of different meals leaving something for each palette to enjoy. Nice decorum overall, giving off a lively a fresh atmosphere. Waiters were knowledgeable and didn't come to the table too frequently, yet they were very attentive to empty glasses and offered a refill promptly. The food was very good. We shared some appetizers and then had a main course. The duck confit looked and tasted great. I can strongly recommend the steak, it was cooked nicely and created an explosion of flavours when i tried the first bite. Will very likely be back soon.
We stumbled on this place for drinks and stayed for snacks. It was a lovely stumble. It's been around for over 20 years, Beautiful menu something for everyone one (French Fusion). Wonderful atmosphere. Our attendant Kerry was fantastic. We just went for a snack but will definitely be back again for the duck confit & rack of lamb. Great drinks! Great food! * Split Appetizer in pic. Highly recommend French Martini ( like a classy orange creamsickle Calamari was perfect!!! Should make reservations, but Bar seating is comfortable and very fun.
Wonderful place, I highly recommend it! Everyone was very nice and our server was very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and so was the wine. I got the appetizer special, the applewood smoked chicken and goat cheese cannelloni which was spectacular - the chicken was beautifully smoked and the goat cheese was so creamy. My mother got the spicy shrimp with avocado and black bean salad, which she said had a delightful spice to it. For dessert we shared the lemon meringue cheesecake, and as a lover of cheesecake I can say it was one of the best I've ever had! I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area.
One word... Delicious! Great place for great food, lovely vibe and an enjoyable meal. Started with Moroccan kebabs.. yum. Rack of Lamb with beans and parsnip mash. Salmon with a lemony risotto and finished with a strawberry shortcake dessert. Will definitely come back.
Great experience at Sauvignon. Attentive service and never felt rushed. Great food with good prices. Great eclectic atmosphere. Excellent cocktails and decent wine list too. Fun time with a nice patio for summer vibes.
You are definitely missing out if you don't try this amazing gem. We loved the martinis, and the food was outstanding. We can't wait to book their private dining room for our next party event.
